About Us

Well my Bilyidar journey started at the beginning of the year, I was approached by Karen asking if I would like to be a mentor for the program. So after I did the mentor training I went on the overnighter to meet the group,
The overnighter was fantastic! I learnt so much about other people and about myself.

I was so nervous when I first arrived and the while we were on the bus going there, I DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE!! And it was so scary.

But once I got over my shyness, I had never met a more welcoming and funny group of people in my life. Some of the activities were very confronting, like my fear of heights, but being in a small group helped because I wasn't the only one to be scared, in fact most of us were :-p Oh I'm talking about the high ropes by the way.

The worst part was that I forgot to bring a blanket so I was FREEZING !!!!!!! I got absolutely no sleep, thank god for books :-p

After the camp though, due to work restrictions, I wasn't able to attend anything else up until last week, and everyone was just as welcoming, considering I was just as scared.

So my most memorable part of the Bilyidar program is the people!!

Ash
